Your 30-Day Wealth Action Plan

Four Weeks: Protect, Start the Core Contribution, Write the No’s, Share the Page

Thirty days is long enough to install the structure and too short to collect a new set of products. Use this calendar if the earlier articles have been read and the household is ready to act. Skip a task that is already complete. Do not replace a week with a fresh ranking table.

"The month succeeds if, at the end of it, protection is in force, a contribution is leaving the account, and two adults can find the page.

Week 1 — Protect and List

  • Write the one-page blueprint: goals, dates, current accounts.
  • Confirm emergency-fund target and the account that holds it.
  • Check health and term cover. If a gap exists, begin the application this week, not after the SIP is “sorted.”
  • Note nominees on bank, EPF, PPF, NPS and fund folios. Flag any that still carry a parent’s name after marriage.

Week 2 — Employer and Core

  • Open the EPF passbook. Confirm whether the contribution is 12 per cent of basic or the ₹1,800 floor. Record the fact. Change it when a job change allows, if the floor is in force.
  • If there is no equity SIP for a long-dated goal, select one diversified or index fund using the filter in Mutual Fund Mastery. Start a modest mandate. Raise it later.
  • Do not open four funds in order to feel thorough.

Week 3 — Dates, Debt-like Holdings, Optional No

  • Move or earmark money that is needed inside three years away from equity.
  • Decide, in writing, whether PPF or NPS has a role beside EPF this year. “Not this year” is allowed.
  • Decide, in writing, that individual shares and a second property are “not this month.” Satellites wait until weeks 1–2 exist.

Week 4 — Share and Schedule

  • Give the spouse access to the page and to the advisor’s number.
  • Set the annual review date in both calendars.
  • Raise the SIP if income already allows. If not, write the next increment date.
  • Stop. Do not add a scheme to celebrate completion.

Did You Know?

A 30-day plan that ends with seven new folios has failed the plan. The test is a running contribution and a page two people can open.

A Real Household Story

Aditi and Naveen, who live in Shillong, used this calendar in a quiet September. Week 1 exposed a term gap. Week 2 started a ₹8,000 flexi-cap SIP and left EPF at 12 per cent. Week 3 recorded “no second flat.” Week 4 put the page in a shared folder and booked the next April Sunday. They bought nothing in October. That was the success.

MoneyChanakya Insight

Wealth creation for life is a structure you maintain. The academy ends this pillar when that structure is installed. Products will keep arriving. The page decides which of them enter.

Common Mistake

Extending the thirty days until every optional satellite has been researched. Optionality is not a deadline.

Key Takeaways

  • Week 1: protection and the written page.
  • Week 2: EPF truth and one core SIP.
  • Week 3: near dates and a deliberate “not now” on satellites.
  • Week 4: shared access and a review date.
  • This pillar is complete. Return to the Wealth Creation index, or continue to Wealth Optimization when that pillar is in use.
